PhD in history requires passing a language examination. I am studying US History, so basically any language is fine. Will Rosetta Stone software be a good investment for me? I'm worried it focuses more on conversational aspects (ie: where can I find the bathroom?) and won't be applicable to translating academic materials. Anybody done this?
