I am at the beginning of my dissertation stage and I have hit an obstacle. I am having difficulty recruiting participants for my research study. I am specifically seeking formerly homeless veterans that reside in Southern California. I am desperately seeking any advice to help with my search.
I would recommend finding a contact with individuals who manage local homeless shelters or are caseworkers if you have not already done so. It would be great if you can get a contact through a professor or someone who is respected, that way the contact will be ciomfortable to help you.
You can even lookup local newspaper articles and contact the reporters who have covered these issues.

Thank you! I ended up contacting the English department who were kind of enough to forward my email to their master's students.
I finally ended up hiring a graduate student who had experience with editing and offered me a good rate.
