my dissertation is a compilation of 3 separate studies on adult stroke survivors perspectives on rehabilitation...how many articles per research question (3 research questions) would you include in a proposal?
I am thinking of going on and getting a PhD. But I am not sure what area would benefit me most. I have a BA in history, an MA in secondary education, and an MA in genocide and Holocaust studies which is my area of expertise. My goal is to teach in a private college or university. I would like to teach teachers how to teach about genocide and the Holocaust. I am thinking of getting a PhD in education, but will this help market myself, or should I get PhD in something else? Any suggestions would be helpful...
I am getting my PhD in my speciality field...I am not sure what a Doctorate in Education would entail but I'm pretty sure that you would be able to concentrate your efforts in your speciality...it all depends on what teachers/level of teachers you plan on educating...
Any Suggestions on HOW TO GET THE PROPOSAL DONE? I have it partially written and have made little progress in months. I could use some suggestions on writing, technology, time management, and motivation. What worked for you?
Make sure you have some form of organizing your literature! I am using refworks and it is saving me tons of time. Also set aside time to work on it daily if you can; that way you don't have to keep refreshing your memory on where you left off, if you are like me and working full time you have the evenings to get to work on your paper...Also, just keep gettting drafts done and sent off to your committee chair, the more you send your chair the more feedback you'll get and less time you'll spend on some details because they know more about writing it up...hope this helps...
